Documentaries are one of the few film projects where you don't always know what the story during filming. The story tends to evolve in the editing room, once you see all the footage you have to work with.

It's a great process that forces you to keep your mind open to different approaches and ideas. As well, it hones your ability to tell a compelling story with pieced together images and words.

To the left are a couple of documentaries I've directed and edited.
