Although my focus is on post production, I've very much enjoyed every opportunity I've had to write, direct or crew other projects. I believe that working in each of these other roles makes me that much stronger during post production. It's all about telling a good story.
I still regularly direct as the VFS Writing Program hires in outside directors to bring student written short films to life. As well, instructing the Shoot/Edit class at VFS gives me a regular opportunity to shoot 2 minute scenes.
